India: Attack on dissent and labor rights under COVID 19 response. The far-right Indian government led by prime minister Narendra Modi is attacking dissenting voices and labour rights under the cover of #COVID19 response. Recently, two prominent human right defenders – Anand Teltumbde and Gautam Navlakha – were arrested. The Indian government is also using the COVID 19 Pandemic to attack the rights of the working class. The government has proposed for increasing working hours from 8 to 12 hours.
