Hi, my name is Kylee Kelley and I am an eighth grade science teacher at San Juan High School in Sacramento CA. Before coming to SFUSD, I was a social studies teacher at Carmencita Middle School in Phoenix, AZ for six years. I am passionate about teaching students how to think critically and have developed what I call the Scientific Method of Inquiry. This is a dynamic approach that uses observation and experimentation to guide students in understanding scientific concepts. With this method, students are able to analyze and explore the natural world around them as they create their own understanding of science by asking important questions they will ask throughout high school and beyond.

When I’m not at work, I like to spend my time hiking, playing sports, and enjoying the outdoors. I also enjoy reading, watching movies, and trying new things.
