Severed Toys and Stockholm Kartell have joined forces to bring the award-winning Mörk Borg roleplaying game to life with four new, fully articulated action figures, now available on Kickstarter. The game swept Gen Con’s Ennie Awards in 2020, winning top prizes for Product of the Year, Best Writing, Best Layout and Design, and Silver in Best Game, and has garnered a dedicated following worldwide.
Inspired by Black Metal music, Mörk Borg, created by Stockholm Kartell, has become a phenomenon in the independent roleplaying game scene. With nearly 2,000 third-party publications supporting the game, it has evolved into one of the most successful open-license RPGs, attracting fans and collaborators from around the globe.
Severed Toys introduces four action figure variants: Dread Risen (Standard edition), Blood Drenched, Glow-in-the-Dark, and Cursed (Fully Blacked Out edition). Each variant comes with an original zine created by Johan Nohr and Pelle Nilsson, the minds behind Mörk Borg.
Early backers within the first 48 hours will receive a complimentary exclusive Flanged Mace weapon to accompany their figure. The Kickstarter campaign will also feature stretch goals offering additional weapon packs, upgrades to the zine printing, and bonus items such as large embroidered patches and tabletop game miniatures. Retail incentives for online shops and brick-and-mortar stores include a free Flanged Mace with each figure ordered through Kickstarter.
